Largo Man Accused Of Firing Gun At Police

A 58-year-old man has been charged with multiple counts of attempted homicide on a law enforcement officer.

LARGO, FL — A 58-year-old man has been charged with multiple counts of attempted homicide on a law enforcement officer after being accused of shooting at Largo Police Saturday night.

At 8:40 p.m., Largo Police responded to a call at 7501 142nd Ave. N. about an intoxicated man who had locked himself inside a bedroom with several firearms

When officers arrived, the man, identified at Francis Fahey, 33, fired several rounds from inside the home. Multiple officers returned fire and locked the area down.

The Largo Tactical Apprehension and Control Team was called and Fahey fired several more shots at team members, according to police.

He was eventually taken into custody with no one injured.
