Largo Man Charged With DUI After Crashing Into Motorcycle

A 67-year-old Largo man is facing drunken driving charges following a crash that sent two people to the hospital.

LARGO, FL — A 67-year-old Largo man is facing drunken driving charges following a crash that sent two people to the hospital.

According to the Largo police, at 5:42 p.m. March 28, Kevin John Cox, 67, of 17th Avenue Southwest, was driving a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck north on Seminole Boulevard in Largo when he attempted to make a left turn onto 8th Avenue Southwest and struck a Harley-Davidson motorcycle that was traveling south.

The male motorcycle operator was taken to the hospital in critical condition, authorities said, and his female passenger suffered serious injuries.

Police said Cox showed of impairment. He was arrested and booked into the Pinellas County Jail and charged with two counts of driving under the influence, causing serious bodily harm. He was released after posting bond for bail that was set at $20,500.
