Largo Man Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run

Pinellas deputies are trying to find the motorist that struck a 2006 Harley, leaving its rider with life-threatening injuries.

A 55-year-old man from Largo is hospitalized following a hit-and-run crash in Seminole Wednesday night.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office says a silver sedan was heading southbound on Seminole Boulevard around 9:50 p.m. as a Harley Davidson driven by Randy Deane was heading northbound. The sedan’s driver made a left to turn onto Baypines Boulevard, crossing in front of the Harley. That caused Deane’s motorcycle to strike the rear, passenger side of the sedan.

While Deane suffered life-threatening injuries, the sedan’s driver did not stop, an email to media from the sheriff’s office said.
