Largo Motorist Dies in Car Crash

A 62-year-old Largo driver died Saturday night when her Dodge Nitro overturned and hit a wooden pole on 16th Avenue SE.

Monica Vieu died at the scene of the single-vehicle crash, which occureed at about 9:15 p.m. Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Investigators are trying to determine why the Dodge Nitro veered off 16th Avenue SE, just east of Twin Oak Drive, and plowed into a drainage ditch before flipping over.
