Largo Police Officer Kills Suspect Who Pinned Him With Vehicle
A Largo Police officer shot and killed a man who tried to pin him between his vehicle, the gas pumps and parking lot barriers at Wawa.
LARGO, FL – A Largo Police officer shot and killed a man who tried to pin him between his vehicle, the gas pumps and parking lot barriers at Wawa, 1215 N. Missouri Ave., Largo.
The shooting occurred Friday, March 23, at 5:55 p.m.
Officer Matthew Steiner, a seven-year-veteran of the department, fired several shots at the man in self-defense. The man’s name has not been released. He was taken to the Largo Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Steiner was transported to Morton Plant Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
