Business-Friendly Renovations Underway at City Hall
City remodels the Community Development and Business Department offices to be "more customer-friendly."

The Community Development and Building Department offices in are getting a makeover. It's part of the city's effort to be more business friendly.
In July commissioners approved the $165,000 project for a one-stop customer service entrance for the Community Development and Building and Engineering Department offices.
The city aims at providing a customer-friendly atmosphere with more resources and information for Largo business owners and contractors.

A receptionist will greet citizens for both departments and direct them to the appropriate staff member. Renovations began Thursday and are expected to be completed in about a week.
The building department has relocated to the conference room that is on the first floor of the main lobby in City Hall. The Building Department will reopen in its new office on Nov. 21 and the Community Development office on Nov. 28.

Until the offices are reopened the best way for citizens to reach administrators for these departments is through email or leave a voicemail.
