Teen Shot in Russian Roulette Dies
A 17-year-old boy hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the head has died, after apparently playing Russian Roulette with three friends in Largo.

UPDATE, SUNDAY MORNING:
Detectives say that a 17-year-old boy injured in an apparent game of Russian Roulette has died.
Thorin R. Montgomery was pronounced dead at Bayfront Medical Center around 3:30 a.m. today (July 1), according to the sheriff's office.

Detectives say Montgomery was the first to take a turn at the game when the gun discharged and he received a gunshot wound to the head.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

A Largo teenager suffered life-threatening injuries Friday when he shot himself in the head while playing Russian Roulette with a .38 caliber handgun.
Thorin R. Montgomery is hospitalized in critical condition at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg tonight, after investigators say he took the first turn at a game of Russian Roulette with three friends.
The gun discharged, and the 17-year-old boy was shot in the head.
Deputies initially responded to a call at 7:30 p.m. Friday to a home at of 11133 111th Way N. Largo, where the shooting had just occurred. According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, Thorin was playing the game with three friends, ages 19, 18, and 16, on the back porch of the home.
Montgomery was transported by air to Bayfront Medical Center for treatment of
life threatening injuries.
