Kids Walk and Raise Funds for Guide Dogs

Each year the children at give back to the community through the annual Walk for Friends. This year the children and their families walked and ran for Southeastern Guide Dogs.

Southeastern Guide Dogs currently has about 600 active guide dogs, 200 puppies in training, and 100 dogs and puppies in the school kennels in Palmetto.

For every $3,500 donated, the donor can name a guide dog in training. The school raised $7,250, which is enough to name two puppies! This includes $3,500 from one family. That puppy's name is now Lokey.

The next task is a school-wide contest to name the remaining puppy!
