Man Accused Of Stealing, Abandoning $899,179 Yacht In Largo

The sheriff's office has made an arrest in the theft of a pricey yacht from a dock in Largo that was abandoned after it crashed.

LARGO, FL — The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest in the theft of a pricey yacht from a dock in Largo that was abandoned after it crashed into some pilings in March.

On Thursday, the sheriff's office arrested Donnovan Russell Jester, 24, of 57th Avenue in St. Petersburg and charged him with grand theft after forensic experts found his fingerprint on the yacht's cabin door.

The 46-foot 2019 Jeanneau Leader, valued at $899,179, crashed into four channel marker pilings and drifted onto an oyster bed where it was discovered.
