Man Arrested in Clearwater After Shooting Friend
A Largo man is shot after inviting his friend to live with him and his fiance in their Largo home.

Tommy E. Zent, according to Largo police, took his friend Jeremy Kugler, 42, into his home because Kugler "was down on his luck." Zent, 42, and his fiance, who live in Largo, were helping out in a way many people do these days, given the number of people who are out of work and in need of a hand.
At a little after 3 a.m. at 820 W Rosary Road, that apparently didn't matter.
A police statement says an altercation took place - the reason for which is not yet known. What is known is Kugler allegedly shot Zent in the left thigh, then fled the scene.
