Man Faces the Charge of Sexual Battery of a Victim While She Was Asleep

Weston Bruni, 20, and the victim were watching a movie on the afternoon of March 31. During the film the victim, who is under 18, fell asleep. While she was sleeping, Bruni allegedly "removed her clothes and sexually battered her," according to deputies.

Once the victim realized what was happening, she pushed Bruni away and left the Seminole residence, authorities said.

Both the victim and Bruni had a "physical" relationship weeks before this event, but decided to the end the relationship and just remain friends, authorities said.

During the investigation, authorities said Bruni allegedly admitted to the allegations against him.

The Largo man has been arrested and charged with sexual battery of a victim who was physically helpless to resist. He is currently being held in Pinellas County Jail.  Bond is set at $100,000.
