Yellow school buses have returned to the morning and afternoon commutes in the Largo area. Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies remind drivers  to be extra careful around schools. A Largo driver was  near a school crossing on Monday. To help keep everyone safe on the roads <a href="http://www.safekids.org/safety-basics/safety-spotlight/back-to-school-safety/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Safe Kids</a> offers tips such as encouraging kids to cross where people can more easily see them and reminding drivers to avoid distractions. Even away from school zones, caution is needed. In most cases it is against the law to pass a <a href="http://www.floridaschoolbussafety.gov/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">stopped</a> school bus: <ul> <li>Two-lane roads- vehicles in both directions must stop.</li> <li>Multi-lane road with a paved center lane- vehicles in both directions must stop.</li> <li>Divided highway- vehicles behind the bus must stop. Vehicles traveling in the opposite direction "proceed with caution."</li> </ul>
