PEACH TREE SALES AT ORGANIC LIVING

If you want sweet, soft & juicy peaches that aren't full of chemicals, grow your own....

  
They are easy to grow here in central Florida!
Peaches are self pollinating so you can plant just one although you may want to plant 2 different varieties that ripen at different times.

Plant in properly prepared soil in part sun, they like afternoon shade.   Water daily when young.  With proper soil preparation, it's possible to harvest peaches within 2 years of planting.  

Peaches are  small trees, getting 12 to 15 feet tall. Prune when leaves have fallen off to keep them shorter.   Their colorful, pale pink blooms are like cotton candy clouds in the spring.

They can also be planted in large containers for patio gardens.  


We have these varieties, some have fruit on them right now:

Tropic Beauty Peach 
(Prunus persica, Tropic  Beauty)

Yellow fleshed, semi-clingstone peach with round, large size and very good skin colour. Very firm with excellent flavour. One of the best Subtropical peach selections.  

 

The Florida Prince peach

Aromatic with very large, sweet, golden flesh and produced on strong, vigorous trees.  The size of the Florida Prince fruit can sometimes exceed 1/2 pound.  The Florida Prince peach is highly recommended for the deep South because it is an early ripening low-chill peach.   The fruit is semi-cling and early. Firm yellow flesh is covered by a beautiful deep red-blushed skin. Ripens in April and May. 


Flordaglo Peach

Flordaglo is a white peach with high sugar content and ripens 10 days after Florda Prince and three days before Tropic Beauty.
