Pinellas Deputies Sworn In, Promoted
Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri welcomed 34 new deputies to the sheriff's office.
PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri administered the oath of office during a swearing-in ceremony Friday and welcomed 34 new deputies to the sheriff's office.
Additionally, 14 newly promoted members were recognized during the promotion ceremony.
The ceremony was held at the Indian Rocks Baptist Church, 12685 Ulmerton Road in Largo.

As part of the promotion ceremony, family members pinned new badges or presented plaques to those who were promoted.

- Promoted to assistant chief: Assistant Chief Deputy Dennis Komar
- Promoted to major: Maj. Nick Lazaris and Maj. Joe Gerretz
- Promoted to captain: Capt. Jose Camacho and Capt. Melvin Jackson
- Promoted to lieutenant: Lt. John Luckett, Lt. A.J. Scarpati and Lt. Matthew Thornton
- Promoted to sergeant: Sgt. Chase Berger, Sgt. J.B. Dobson and Sgt. Dan DiFrancesco
- Promoted to supervisor: Procurement Supervisor Lisa Delorey, Assistant Analyst Supervisor Megan Nowakowski, HRIS Manager Nicole Purazzo.
