Pinellas Deputies Take Man Into Custody After Running From Deputies With Handcuffs On
The Pinellas Sheriff's Office said it has apprehended a man accused of fleeing from deputies who were in the process of arresting him.

LARGO, FL — The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said it has apprehended a man accused of fleeing from deputies who were in the process of arresting him on outstanding warrants.
At 11:55 a.m. Wednesday, sheriff's deputies took Kenneth Ray Emery, 40, into custody after he managed to evade deputies for more than 48 hours.
At 9:20 a.m. Monday, deputies were in the process of arresting Emery on a warrant for petit theft and charges of felon in possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of fentanyl, trafficking in fentanyl, possession of forged bills and unlawful possession of another person's identification.

During the arrest at Seminole Boulevard and Ulmerton Road in Largo, deputies said Emery escaped from deputies and fled on foot with a handcuff attached to his left wrist. He was last seen running north on Seminole Boulevard.
Using K-9 units, a helicopter and a bloodhound from the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, the sheriff's office searched for Emery for several hours but was unable to find him until he was spotted on Thursday and quickly secured in handcuffs.
