Transgender Arrested For Using Stolen ID To Buy French Bulldog

Largo Police have arrested a transgender person who reportedly went into a pet shop and used stolen ID to buy a puppy.

LARGO, FL -- Largo Police have charged a transgender person for reportedly going into a pet shop and using a stolen credit card and driver's license to purchase a puppy.

According to police, Bryant Farfan was apprehended Thursday, Nov. 16, in Hillsborough County. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has Farfan in custody on outstanding warrants and Largo detectives are interviewing him in connection with the theft of the dog.

Police say Farfan went to the All About Puppies retail store at 7190 Ulmerton Road, Largo, and fraudulently obtained a fawn-colored French bulldog valued at several thousand dollars.

Police say Farfan falsified adoption records and misled store employees regarding the dog's future home.

Police still haven't located the puppy.

Employees from All About Puppies are concerned for the welfare of their animal and, together with law enforcement, are seeking any information which might lead to the recovery of the puppy so she can be placed in a properly vetted home.

If you have purchased a French bulldog from Farfan recently, you are encouraged to contact detectives at (727) 586-7462 to determine whether or not your animal was stolen from this business.
