Police Seek Help in Finding Gold Coins

Gold coins worth more than $135,000 were reported stolen from a Largo residence, according to police.

The requests assistance finding about 50 rare gold coins, which were reported stolen during a residential burglary on June 7.

According to detectives, an unknown suspect entered the Largo home and forced open the safe.  The suspect "stole approximately 50 collector's grade, certified gold coins valued at over $135,000," according to police.

The bounty of gold coins ranged in dates from 1894 to 1933. The coins were identified as $20 gold Liberty and St. Gauden's coins, according to police.
