Pregnant Woman Kicked In Stomach; Largo Man Arrested

LARGO, FL — A Largo man has been arrested after being accused of attacking a pregnant woman during an argument Friday night.

According to Largo police, Darnys Joel Reyes Colón, 39, of Beverly Avenue got into an argument with the pregnant woman and another man.

During the argument, Largo police said Reyes Colón punched the woman in the face. When she told him to stop because she was pregnant, he threw her to the ground and kicked her several times in the stomach.

The woman tried to call 911, but Reyes Colón grabbed her phone and smashed it on the ground.

Reyes Colón was charged with felony battery and tampering with a witness. He was released on $15,000 bail.
