Prescribed burn today at Brooker Creek Preserve

The Florida Forest Service will conduct a prescribed burn in the Brooker Creek Preserve well field area north of Keystone Road.  The burn will take place today, Aug. 12.

The prescribed burn is expected to start at 9:30 a.m. and end at approximately 6 p.m. It involves approximately 50 acres, finishing up a burn that was extinguished by rain last Friday, plus an additional strip of land to the east.
