Some Sun in the Weekend Forecast

The weekend is likely to get off to a wet start though.

Tampa Bay area residents hoping to catch a few rays over the weekend aren’t totally out of luck, according to forecasters at the National Weather Service.

While the weekend kicks off with an 80 percent chance of rain on Friday and 60 percent in the evening hours, those chances slowly diminish as the weekend progresses. Saturday brings about a 40 percent chance of storms during the day and evening hours, but those storms are likely to be scattered.

Sunday is when things are anticipated to make a nice turnaround with only a 20 percent chance of rain likely during both the day and evening hours.
