PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — A Tampa man has been arrested after being charged with racing along the Gandy Bridge at speeds up to 132 mph.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Oddami Luis Silvia Stevens of West Osborne Avenue, Tampa, was spotted by a trooper at 1:04 a.m. Sunday traveling east on the Gandy Bridge side by side with another car, reaching a speed of up to 132 mph in the 55 mph zone.

When the trooper pulled Stevens over, Stevens told him he was attempting to race the other vehicle, according to the highway patrol report.
