The Vampirates Descend on Beer Goggles

Punk rockers, The Vampirates, from Reno, Nevada are on non-stop tour of the United States in their van with gigs from Florida to California.

While most people were out having a bit of fun in the sun on the beach and around barbecue grills this , a different type of crowd descended on  around nighfall to listen to the sounds of The Vampirates.

Beer Goggles on Ulmerton and Belcher is the sixth stop on this awe inspriring endeavor across the country spreading the 'do it yourself' gospel to eager ears.

Cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer were raised in the air celebrating the first distorted chords blasting through the speakers Monday evening.

Touring in support of thier latest LP, Muffstache, the band has released four albums since 2003. This album was recorded in Sacramento, California at the Pus Cavern Studio with legendary engineer Joe Johnston of Cake and Cobra Skulls fame.

Singer and guitar player Chris Fox explains, "We have four real releases and two spilt releases with other bands."

The Vampirates have recently played alongside bands including Against Me!Grabass Charlestons, and Static Thought while out touring this past year.
