Unsung Hero Finalists Support Local Teachers
A Pinellas Park High School student and a Seminole teacher are being recognized by the county for inspiring, encouraging and supporting local educators.
While teachers provide positive examples and inspiration for the children in their classrooms, sometimes teachers need support and an extra hand. The individuals who encourage, listen and support teachers are "the unsung heroes."
The Pinellas County School District recognizes these individuals through the Superintendent's Unsung Hero Award.
Pinellas Park High School student Garen Freed was selected recently as a finalist because of the support he gives his mother, Pinellas Park High School teacher Cynthia Freed.
