Viewfinder: Rooftop Concert in Central Park
Celebrations for the Largo Cultural Center's 15th Anniversary included a rooftop concert and food truck rally on Tuesday.
For the second time in their lives the McGuigan brothers, who grew up in town, held a rooftop concert in Largo. Their first concert attempt was cut short by their dad. When the three brothers only made it half way through a song on top of the family residence in the late 1980s before their father found them.
Move forward about 20 years and Billy, Matthew and Ryan McGuigan played their music again on a rooftop in Largo. This time the brothers' Beatles Tribute band, Yesterday and Today, played on the rooftop of the
Tuesday's lunchtime concert and food truck rally was part of the cultural center's 15th anniversary celebration. People packed picnics or bought lunch from the food trucks parked on the edge of the grassy park.

The rooftop concert was a recreation of the Beatles 1969 rooftop concert.
"I like that they are doing songs from the actual rooftop concert like 'Don't Let Me Down,'" said avid Beatles fan Chuck Case, of Clearwater.

Seasonal resident Muriel Connery, 69, grew up on Beatles music in Ireland and England.
"I love the Beatles big time. I love to dance. I can't sit still when the music is going. I have a bad leg and it never stops me from dancing," Connery said.
If you missed Tuesday's concert, the McGuigan brothers will be back in Largo on March 30. That concert will be inside the cultural center.
