Warrant Issued for Homicide Suspect's Arrest

The man, wanted in connection with a July murder in Largo, is believed to be somewhere in Pinellas County.

The Largo Police Department is asking folks to keep their eyes open for a man wanted on first-degree murder charges.

Shaquille Ali Felder, 22, is wanted in connection with the July death of McKinley Torbit, 21. Police announced a warrant for his arrested has been issued Friday.

Police say Torbit was shot when a home invasion attempt at his 1630 Jefferson Ave. home went south. The suspects, an email from the agency stated, could not gain entry into the home and fired multiple shots at the victim who came outside during the break-in attempt.

The shooting occurred in the courtyard area of the Tara Garden Apartments.

Frank Freeman, 23, was previously arrested on a first-degree murder warrant in connection with the case.

Felder, police say, should be “considered armed and dangerous and is believed to still be in the Pinellas County area.”

Anyone with information on Felder’s whereabouts is asked to call their local law enforcement agency. Tips may also be submitted through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-873-TIPS or going online to www.crimestoppersofpinellas.org.
