Wig-Wearing Robber Holds Up Largo Businesses With Replica Gun
Largo Police have arrested a man they believe robbed a Publix and a Walgreens a day apart.

LARGO, FL – Largo Police have arrested a man they believe robbed a Publix and a Walgreens a day apart.
Largo Police charged Frank Bignotti Jr., 38, with robbing the two businesses.
The Publix at 857 West Bay Drive, Largo, was held up Tuesday, April 3. However, the clerk could not get into the cash register so the robber fled with just a can of chewing tobacco.

The same robber appeared again Wednesday night, April 4, at the Walgreens at 2991 Roosevelt Blvd., Largo, where he had more luck.
During both hold-ups, the robber wore a hat and wig to disguise his features, carried a Publix recycling bag and showed the clerks a gun.

Police were able to track the robber through surveillance video. After robbing the Walgreens, he went to a nearby bar where he ditched his hoodie, wig and Publix bag. Then caught a taxi cab.
Officers located the cab and arrested Bignotti, who was carrying the replica handgun he used in each robbery.
Bignotti has been charged with two counts of robbery with a firearm and one count of resisting arrest without violence.
