San Diego Zoo Wish Comes True For Largo Child Through Make-A-Wish and United Health Foundation

Molly, eight, of Largo lives with malignant neoplasm of the eye.Β  When presented with an opportunity for a wish, she chose to visit the San Diego Zoo.Β  Molly’s wish came true, courtesy of United Health Foundation and Make-A-Wish.Β  According to Molly’s wish granters, she chose to visit the San Diego Zoo because of her love for animals, specifically Australian animals -- koala bears and kangaroos.Β  Molly’s one specific request was to attend the Roar N’ Snore at the Zoo, which is an overnight camping experience inside the park with animals.Β  Employees from UnitedHealthcare hosted a send-off party for Molly and her parents, Ashley and Sean,Β at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.

Since 2007, UnitedHealth Group has funded more than 2,136 wishes through a $7.5 million alliance with Make-A-Wish.
