Woman Arrested on Child Neglect Charge After Boy Ingests Methadone
The 14-month-old boy is in stable condition after authorities found methadone in his system.

Monday Pinellas County Sheriff's detectives arrested a 24-year-old Largo resident on the charges of child neglect and violation of probation.
On Sunday, All Children's Hospital officials called detectives after they found a 14-month-old child with methadone in his system.
Sheriff's detectives determined Debra Barberee allegedly knew the child had ingested the Methadone but failed to get him medical help for several hours, officials said.

When a medical team arrived, they found the child unresponsive and not breathing. They transported the child to Mease Countryside Hospital and the toddler was later transferred to All Children's Hospital where he is listed in stable condition, authorities said.
