17-Year-Old Arrested In Drive-By Shooting In Dade City

DADE CITY, FL — A 17-year-old has been arrested in the April 30 drive-by shooting in Dade City.

At 2:20 a.m., Pasco County sheriff's deputies responded to a report of shots being fired from a truck toward a group of people in the Patchoosa Avenue area of Dade City.

One person was struck by a bullet and taken to a hospital with injuries that aren't life-threatening.

Deputies spotted the vehicle from which the shots were fired, but it drove away when deputies arrived. Deputies later found it abandoned.

Detectives are continuing the investigation, but have arrested one 17-year-old for attempted murder.
