17-Year-Old Tampa Teen Killed In Crash On U.S. 301
A 17-year-old boy was killed and three other children, ages 1, 13 and 15, were injured in the crash.
THONOTOSASSA, FL — A 17-year-old Dade City boy was killed and a 1-year-old girl, 13-year-old boy and 15-year-old boy from Tampa were injuredin a crash Monday on U.S. 301 and Williams Road in Thonotosassa.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 4:47 p.m., a car driven by a 38-year-old Tampa woman was headed and a car driven by a 53-year-old Zephyrhills woman was headed north on U.S. 301 when the car driven by the Tampa woman lost control, crossed over the concrete median and collided nearly head-on with the other car.
Both drivers and the 1-year-old and 15-year-old children suffered serious injuries. The 13-year-old had minor injuries.
