2 Airlifted After County Line Road Crash

Two people are in serious condition following a Thursday morning crash that closed County Line Road for several hours.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Jonathan Antramgarza, 20, of Tampa was heading westbound on County Line Road near Cypress Creek Road around 6:44 a.m. when he lost control of his car and entered the grassy shoulder north of the roadway. Antramgarza over-corrected and crossed into the eastbound lane, striking a Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Steven Falcon, 43, of Lutz.

Falcon’s Santa Fe overturned and landed in a nearby ditch.

Both men were flown to St. Joseph’s Hospital and were listed in serious condition, a highway patrol media release said.

Charges in the accident are pending further investigation. The crash closed the road until 9:30 a.m., troopers reported.
