24-Year-Old Dade City Man Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash
A 24-year-old Dade City man has died following a hit-and-run crash on U.S. 301 south of Gould Road.
DADE CITY, FL -- A 24-year-old Dade City man has died following a hit-and-run crash on U.S. 301 south of Gould Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 9:43 p.m. Saturday, Leon N. Gilbert-Bailey was walking along the west shoulder of U.S. 301 when he was struck by a southbound vehicle that fled the scene.
He was transported to AdventHealth Dade City where he died.

On Monday, troopers received a tip about the driver and the vehicle. Troopers were able to locate the vehicle, a 1995 Dodge Dakota, at 4377 Cimarron Way in Dade City and interviewed a person of interest. No arrests have been made yet.
