38-Year-Old Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Child For 5 Years

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — Pasco County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 38-year-old transient wanted by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office for sexually battering a child under the age of 12 over a period of five years.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, detectives began investigating Timothy Massey on April 2 after they learned the child sent a letter to a family member revealing ongoing sexual abuse.

According to detectives, the child was shown pornographic videos and was sexually battered by Massey over a five-year period. At the time of the abuse, the child was under the age of 12.

Detectives attempted to locate Massey for questioning, but learned he fled the area. Pasco deputies found him in Wesley Chapel and arrested him Monday.
