Parade, run events slated for July 4
A 5-kilometer run, a 1-mile fun run and family walk and the Lutz Community Parade are featured during the July 4 festivities next Friday. The theme this year is "Saluting Lutz Volunteer Fire Department.'' A cake decorating contest and auction and flag-raising ceremony are planned, along with the inauguration of the new Lutz Guv'na.

The parade begins at 10 a.m. and runs east on Lutz Lake Fern Road, beginning at Crooked Lane and finishing at the train depot.
