71-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed On Dale Mabry Highway

LUTZ, FL -- A 71-year-old Lutz man is dead following a crash Sunday, Nov. 11, at Dale Mabry Highway and Brinson Road.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 6:49 p.m., Dean Michael Jones, 51, of Tampa was driving a Toyota Camry south in the inside lane of Dale Mabry Highway at the intersection of Brinson Road.

John Howard Perry, 71, of Lutz was walking west across the southbound lanes of Dale Mabry Highway when he stepped into the path of Jones' car.

Perry died at the scene. A passenger in Jones' car, Natali Kusmajadi Marchesini, 44, of Lutz, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital with serious injuries.
