Four ways for business owners to spread love on Valentine's Day.

As most of you know-- except for those about to get in trouble with their significant other-- Valentine’s Day is tomorrow. It is a day to celebrate relationships, whether it’s going out with your sweetheart or going to town on some Sweet Tarts.  Sharing the love on V-Day, however, needn’t be limited to couples. Businesses can get on board and send some good stuff to customers or partners—and unlike a real relationship, your business relationships probably won’t mind if it’s a day or two late.

Social media is a fast and easy way to recognize star clients or customers. Highlight some of your favorites on Valentine’s Day and see if they will send some love back your way.

Personalized Messages

It doesn’t have to be a hand-delivered, hand-decorated card; but personalizing a message to customers or business relationships can say a lot about how much you appreciate their business.  

Guest Blogs

Reach out to similar businesses or industries and offer to post quality content. Everyone likes a good a good sharer—and double bonus if they offer to post some of your articles too!

Say Thanks

Sometimes a simple “thank you” to customers can go a long way. People just want to be appreciated, so in your messages or on social media don’t forget to the magic words—and we don’t mean “free chocolate.”

 

…Although, come to think of it, free chocolate would be way better. Definitely go with the chocolate.
