Let's Open Communication Lines for Lutz's Gay Population

I would like to invite other gay, lesbians, bi-sexuals, and transgendered citizens of the Lutz/Land O" Lakes area, and I know there are a lot of out there, to participate in a blog regarding gay issues important to you as individuals or to the community as a whole. Topics can be in regard to housing, marriage, adoption, travel, and local social events.  

Having lived in Lutz for 16 years and having been with my partner for 41 years I feel I have a lot to contribute due to my experiences. I know first-hand how bullying effects our gay youth, what it's like to lose a job because of discrimination, and have lived in very activist arenas in New York, Los Angeles, and Albuquerque.

My passion is travel and I have done a lot of it. I have traveled with gay groups and independently with my partner and family, and as a retired travel agent, can offer travel tips, destination, recommendations, and suggestions as to what to see and do.

It's my belief by supporting each other, and opening discussion in an open forum, we educate those that are closeted as well as the heterosexual community.  I would love it if when you participate in the discussion that you include your current occupation to make others aware that we are everywhere.  I look forward to hearing your thoughts and getting to know you through this medium.
