CHEVAL CARES 5K ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20 TO BENEFIT THE PEDIATRIC CANCER FOUNDATION

Cheval Cares 5K Run to benefit the Pediatric Cancer Foundation

Runners and families in the Cheval community and throughout the Tampa Bay area are invited to participate in the Third Annual Cheval Cares 5K presented by Craig and Vanessa Arndt – Allstate Insurance Agency benefiting the Pediatric Cancer Foundation on Saturday, September 20th at 8:00 a.m. Packet pick-up begins at 7:00 a.m. Several pediatric cancer survivors from the Cheval community, including 18-year-old Sydney Sims and 5-year-old Callie Peck, will cut the ribbon to officially start the race.

The 5K course will take place in the Cheval neighborhood, starting and ending at the Cheval Athletic Club. Following the race, participants are invited to the post-race family fun party where there will be music by DJ Tommy Who, face painting and balloon animals from YTE Events, games with Amos the Wonder Horse, a bounce house, and a chance drawing. Awards will be given to the overall top 10 male and female adults, as well as top three youth boys and girls. The cost is $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. This event is being planned and organized by volunteers and parents in the Cheval neighborhood and surrounding community to raise awareness during September, National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. All proceeds benefit the Pediatric Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to funding research to eliminate childhood cancer.
