Classic Car Crashes On I-75, Killing Tarpon Springs Man

A 53-year-old Tarpon Springs man driving a classic 1962 Oldsmobile ​has died following a crash on Interstate 75 Monday.

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — A 53-year-old Tarpon Springs man driving a classic 1962 Oldsmobile has died following a crash on Interstate 75 Monday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 2:55 p.m., Scott Allan Powers was traveling north on I-75 just north of State Road 56 when he lost control, entered the grassy shoulder and collided with a concrete fence post and several trees.

He died at the scene.
