Clearwater Man Arrested Following Discovery Of Decomposing Body

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office has arrested a 44-year-old man in connection with a decomposing man's body found in Trilby.

PASCO COUNTY, FL β€” The Pasco County Sheriff's Office has arrested a 44-year-old Clearwater man in connection with a decomposing man's body discovered in Trilby.

On Feb. 13, the Pasco Sheriff's Office was called to investigate a report of a body found in a rural area of Trilby near Kettering and Powerline roads.

The victim was identified and the medical examiner determined he was stabbed to death. In accordance with Marsy's Law protecting the identity of crime victims, his name hasn't been released.

Detectives were able to connect the stabbing death to John Green of Sequoia Drive in Clearwater who was charged with second-degree homicide. Green was arrested by the Clearwater Police Department Tuesday and transferred to the custody of the Pasco Sheriff's Office's.
