Southbound Florida Avenue Now Open
A Friday morning crash closed the southbound lanes in the Lutz area.
Update Dec. 11 8:58 a.m.: The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that southbound lanes are now open on Florida Avenue.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is asking motorists to avoid southbound Florida Avenue north of Bearss Avenue Friday morning.

A crash has forced closing of the lanes. At 7:16 a.m. Friday, deputies were recommending motorists use southbound Nebraska, starting at the apex, instead.
No details about the crash are available yet, but the sheriff’s office said there are no injuries.

It is unclear at this time how long the road will be off limits to traffic.
