Dade City Man Says Woman Kidnapped, Robbed, Beat Him

DADE CITY, FL -- Pasco County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a woman accused of kidnapping, robbing and beating a man over a drug deal.

At 11:48 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10, deputies were contacted by the victim's daughter who said Launa McMurry, 34, had called and told her that she had her father tied up and would not release him until her paid back money he owed her.

The victim said he was held against his will, beaten, robbed and then tossed into a creek near Pinkston Road in Dade City. He made his way to the road where sheriff's deputies found him and took him to the hospital.

The victim identified McMurry as his attacker. She is 5 feet 5 inches tall with hazel eyes and brown hair.

Anyone who knows her whereabouts should call 911 immediately.
