Dump Truck Hits School Bus On Way To Quail Hollow Elementary
Five students escaped injury on their way to school Thursday when their bus was involved in a crash at Boyette and Overpass roads.
WESLEY CHAPEL, FL -- Five students escaped injury on their way to school Thursday, Sept. 13, when their bus was involved in a crash at Boyette and Overpass roads.
At 9:08 a.m., bus driver Deanna L. Richard, 50, of Lutz was heading east on Overpass Road, transporting five students to Quail Hollow Elementary School.
Richard was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Boyette Road when a dump truck traveling north on Boyette Road reportedly ran the stop sign and collided with the right side of the bus.

The inpact maused the bus to rotate to the south shoulder of the road before stopping along a treeline.
The bus driver and students were not injured.

The dump truck driver, Yoandy Padilla-Hernandez, 39, of Tampa. had minor injuries. He was cited for failure to yield.
