Family Feud Turns Bloody At Dade City Gathering

Two Dade City residents are facing charges after being accused of beating two relatives with a baseball bat.

DADE CITY, FL -- Two Dade City residents are facing aggravated battery and assault charges after being accused of beating two relatives with a baseball bat and threatening them with a shotgun.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, a couple was cleaning up after hosting a party for relatives on their front lawn on Manatee Avenue in Dade City Thursday when they were attacked by a group of 20 people, also relatives.

The wife said Itashlie Marie Negron, 21, of Davis Loop came running toward her with a baseball bat and began hitting her repeatedly, causing multiple skull fractures, a broken jaw and a brain bleed.

Negron's boyfrend, Roman Anthony Florez, 30, also of Davis Loop, reportedly pointed a shotgun at the husband, who is his cousin, while Negron hit him with the bat.

Witnesses said Florez then used the butt of the shotgun to hit the wife in the head, causing a laceration which required stitches.

According to the sheriff's office, the two groups of relatives had an ongoing family feud.

Negron and Florez were taken to the Land O' Lakes Detention Center.
