Fire Destroys Home In Lutz; No One Injured
The Red Cross has been called in to assist a family that was left homeless after a fire tore through their Lutz home Sunday.
LUTZ, FL — The Red Cross has been called in to assist a family that was left homeless after a fire tore through their Lutz home Sunday.
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue received a call at 11:55 PM on May 15th. The caller reported both smoke and flames were visible and that there were no occupants inside.
The first arriving unit encountered a fully involved single-story home.

After confirming that no one was inside, crews began a defensive attack from the exterior of the home. Fire rescue tanker trucks provided water using dump tanks to support the firefighting operations.
The blaze was under control in 40 minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
