Former Teacher Arrested After Geek Squad Finds Child Porn

A former middle school teacher was arrested after a member of Best Buy's Geek Squad reported finding child pornography on his computer.

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL β€” A former Pasco County middle school teacher was arrested Tuesday after a member of Best Buy's Geek Squad reported finding child pornography on his computer.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office charged William Crawford, 69, of Glenhaven Road in Wesley Chapel with 10 counts of possession of child pornography.

According to sheriff's deputies, Crawford, a former teacher at Dr. John Long Middle School at 2025 Mansfield Blvd., Wesley Chapel, brought his Toshiba Satellite laptop computer to Best Buy in August for repairs. While repairing the computer, a Geek Squad computer technician found what appeared to be pornographic images of a young girl and reported it to the sheriff's office.

Deputies obtained a warrant and seized the computer. Forensic analysts say they found 10 pornographic images of the young girl.
