Huge Community Yard Sale to Benefit Joshua House

If you are looking for something to do in the Lutz area, you love good deals, and most importantly, you would like to support a great cause, there is something going on that will interest you!

On Saturday, April 30th, the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) will be hosting a HUGE community yard sale to benefit the children living at Joshua House. The community will be able to take advantage of some incredible bargains on brands like Vera Bradley, Louis Vuitton, Banana Republic, Gap, True Religion, Ann Taylor, Ed Hardy, Ikea, Havana, Nautica, Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, Crocs, and much, much more! Many items are new with tags and everything else is gently used.

Founded in 1992, Joshua House, a program of Children's Home Society of Florida, is a safe haven for abused, neglected, and abandoned children. With five homes across eleven acres, the program offers healing and care in a nurturing and family-like environment for children aged 6-17 who've been removed from their homes due to crises.

Flip the page … it only takes one visit to Learning Gate Charter School to realize you have stepped onto an education facility like no other. Nestled in among trees, wetlands, and ponds, the school’s campus and its curriculum are a testimony to an integrated environmental approach to education and community. The mission of the school is to prepare students to successfully participate in their family, school, community, and workplace through an education program that promotes academic excellence, develops environmental stewardship, and stimulates students to be lifelong learners.

So, what do you get when you pair a group of highly motivated middle school students in an NJHS program with a shelter for abused, abandoned, and neglected children? You get a leadership service project and an opportunity for these students to make a difference in the lives of children who are less fortunate than they are.

Please come out and support these students' efforts to raise money for a program that needs financial support to provide help to children who so desperately need it! At the same time, you will have the opportunity to shop for great deals and find some items you or your loved ones can use!

The sale will be held on the Hanna campus of Learning Gate Community School, 16215 Hanna Road, Lutz, 33549, from 9:00a.m. – 1:00p.m. Please come and check out the sale!
