Lumberton Mechanic Accused Of Molesting Girls Age 5, 8

LUMBERTON, FL -- Pasco County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a Lumberton mechanic accused of molesting two girls ages 5 and 8 multiple times.

Stephen Crouchman, 58, of the 7000 block of Lumberton Road, was arrested Wednesday, Oct. 3 and charged with two counts of sexual battery on victims under the age of 12.

According to the sheriff’s office, a babysitter said the 5- and 8-year-old girls confided in her that Crouchman had touched them inappropriately on several occasions between July 21 and 30.

The girls were interviewed separately and corroborated each other’s statements.

Crouchman remains in the Land O’ Lakes Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.
