Lutz Man Accused Of Pointing Gun At Red Light Runner

A 31-year-old Lutz man has been charged with robbery of a firearm and aggravated assault following a road rage incident on ​April 8.

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL -- A 31-year-old Lutz man has been charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault following a road rage incident on April 8.

According to Pasco County Sheriff's deputies, around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Ryan Samuel Defrancisco of Turtlerock Court became upset when a motorcyclist ran a red light at Interstate 75 and State Road 56, nearly causing an accident.

Deputies said he pursued the motorcyclist, blocked him in with his truck, pointed a gun at him and pulled the keys out of the motorcycle's ignition.

Bond was set at $55,000.
