Lutz Man Faces 100 Child Porn Counts

A 38-year-old Lutz man remained behind bars Thursday, charged with 100 counts of possession of child pornorgraphy.

Jason James of 17806 Lake Carlton Drive, Apt. A., was arrested June 17 around 2:55 p.m. after Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant at his home.

“A subsequent forensic review of the computer revealed over 100 image and video files depicting child pornography,” a sheriff’s office media release said. Those files “depicted children between the ages of approximately 8 years to 16 years of age engaged in sexual activities.”

Following arrest, James admitted to possessing the pictures, the release said.

James remained in the Hillsborough County Jail Thursday in lieu of $750,000 bond.
